Sunday Selfies : The Gang is all here : Spring 2019.

We are joining , The Cat on My Head , for Sunday Selfies! This week the gang is all here. We had another week of sun and continued evidence of Spring's arrival here in Vancouver . The magnolia trees are beginning to blossom as are our cherry trees. The pups spent time at the beach, at the jetty and in the forest. The kitties found plenty of sunpuddles. We hope your week was equally enjoyable!

Fashion Friday : At the beach!

Duffy, " Hi ya! Welcome to another edition of Fashion Friday. This week I am at the beach! I am modelling my Easter eggs bowtie."

Duffy, " I realize it is a bit early for Easter attire. To be frank, I have other Easter bowties, which means I still have a few to model closer to mid-April."

Duffy, " I can't deny I am extremely happy to be at the beach!"

Duffy, " We played fetch and there were times when I caught the ball before Avalon!"

Duffy , " Avalon is being a bit of a freaky - deaky though. She keeps running off with the ball and burying it! Heeheehee."

Avalon, " Whaaaat?! No one can see me!!"

Duffy, " Wilhelmina is hanging out next to the ocean with her ball. She is feeling extremely laidback. Of course I should explain that we have already had a two hour run in the forest before arriving to the beach. Otherwise, the humom claims we would be asked to leave the beach shortly after our arrival, on account of our crazypants antics!!"

Duffy, " I know. How rude! But I am having so much fun at the beach that her assertions roll off me like water on a duck's back!"

Have a Fabulous Friday!
See you soon.

Wordless Wednesday : Eagle Sighting!

**The Bald Eagle in these photos is very young ; under five years of age. During the first five years of its' life, the Bald Eagle gradually changes. The brown beak turns yellow and their brown eyes change to pale yellow. Body feathers change from mottled to dark brown, and head and tail feathers from mottled to white.**

Have a Wonderful Wednesday!
See you soon.

Sunday Selfies : Malou and Avalon ; the elusive two!

We are joining ,  The Cat on My Head, for Sunday Selfies! This week we decided to shine a light on two of the most elusive subjects in the cottage when it comes to picture taking! That would be our two girls, Malou and Avalon. As soon as Malou sees the camera in my hand, she disappears! The challenge with Avalon is catching her in moments of stillness since she is almost constantly in motion!
Interestingly enough, Malou and Avalon love each other. It is incredibly sweet to witness. When Avalon is out for the day, she rushes into our home to find Malou in order to give her kisses. It is as if Avalon wants to share her adventures with Malou and include her somehow. They both love to cuddle together and often seek each other out. Unfortunately, I never seem to have camera on hand to capture their affection for one another. I'm certain at some point in time I will and I promise to post photographs when I do! In the meantime, I thought it would be fun to explore their similarities.

Both girls love high places and are extremely agile!

They are very affectionate and love to cuddle , especially with the humom! Independent of one another , they can be slightly proprietorial of me which is funny given how sweet natured they both are!

Both girls are mischievous and the ring leader of their clowder/crew.  Malou comes up with ideas to help, "pass the time of day", and Levon helps put them into practice. Malou and Levon have knocked a roast chicken off the counter after first helping themselves to the best pieces. Needless to say, the dogs waiting below were extremely appreciative! Together they have eaten  quantities of butter when a butter dish has been left unattended, knocked over various vases while, "exploring the scent of flowers", and so forth. Avalon is the leader of all that is fun in the forest and outside. She creates recognizable games and her "crew" follows. If Avalon is on a, "time out", when I put her on lead because she didn't listen to me when I gave her direction, the noise and activity level between the dogs comes to a virtual standstill.

They are both undeniably sweet to look at and can consequently be easily forgiven their (many) trespasses!

Malou and Avalon are pure lights and fill our hearts with joy every single day. We feel fortunate to have them as part of our family.

Well perhaps it is now apparent why these two, sweet girls are fast friends! We hope you enjoyed getting to know them a little better.

Have a Sunny Sunday!
See you soon.
