Good News and dahlias.

Mitalee, " My test results came back! For those of you who don't know, I have been losing weight so LP dragged me to the vet's last week for a senior blood panel and a urine test to ensure my twelve year old motor is still working up to par! "

Mtalee, " Are you sitting down? !! Everything came back with green lights flashing!"

Mitalee, " Oh alright! I won't speak in codes! All my bloodwork came out normal! According to the tests , I am a perfectly healthy, twelve year old specimen. "

Mitalee, " That is most excellent news! N'est-ce pas? Wouldn't you agree?!!

Mitalee, " Except LP, who is a worrywort when it comes to our well being ,  wonders what is going on with me that isn't being depicted in the test results? Why am I  losing weight?! LP claims she will keep an eagle eye on me from now on. I told her I feel fine but she doesn't believe me! She really is the prophet of doom some times. Best to ignore her and carry on!
Below are photos of a few beautiful dahlias now scattered throughout our home for your viewing pleasure. Dahlia season has begun! Is it possible that the month of August has already arrived?!  Summer is a speeding train blasting by this year."

Have a Terrific Tuesday!
See you soon.

  1. I'm glad your test results came back looking good, Mitalee! Binga has a hard time keeping weight on at the age of nearly 16, but my human just gives her more food - which she happily eats - and she manages to remain stable.

  3. You don't look a day over 2, Mitalee! I know it must be annoying that LP worries, but it's because she loves you more than anything. We can't help it ... our fear of losing makes us irrational. But if you're losing weight - she has good reason to worry. Bear lost a pound and a half for no reason before his last check up, after being consistently 15 lbs. Blood tests showed nothing and I was a wreck because I was sure it was the beginning of the end. That was almost a year ago now. Have a little patience ... even when you're sure she makes no sense. She worries because she loves you, and not all cats someone who loves them like that :)

  4. Mitalee, I am so glad to hear your good news this morning and to see your sweet face. I know Mom's are worry worts and she will be watching and waiting to see what the weight thing is all about. Are you eating well? I am trying to recall from the post before when you told us you were losing weight. The dahlias are stunning!

  5. M says those flowers are breathtakingly beautiful. So happy your test came back normal. But.............. sure hope they don't find something later on. It's good your human is going to stay on top of it.

  8. Mom loves dahlias, and these are super gorgeous ones. Our dad's dad grew them when he was alive. Now, Mitalee, we don't like to hear about this weight loss, but we senior kitties will lose some weight even if we are healthy. Sure hope no one is stealing your noms. We will add you to our purrs and prayers just as a precaution. Much love to all. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  16. Those flowers are gorgeous, Mitalee! We're glad your tests came back normal. Y'know, it's not unusual for a senior kitty to lose a little weight when he/she gets older. Wally is 13 now and even a big boy like him has lost a little weight. But it's best to get checked out so you can catch things early enough.

  17. Your flowers are beautiful as are you! Sooooo excited that your lab work is good!!! Many seniors' appetites decrease with age. Tell Mom that maybe she needs to try a few new types of wet foods maybe?
