Thank you!

We would like to thank everyone for the lovely e-cards as well as snail mail cards we have received for the holidays. We have added your e-cards to our blog sidebar for the enjoyment of all our friends ; please take a moment to look at them, they are all truly unique and lovely. Your snail mail cards are scattered all over the cottage and have brought a wonderful aura of holiday cheer throughout our home . Thank you. If for some reason , (our Mama is dimwitted) , we neglected to send you our e- card , please help yourself to one or both of the cards found below. Our snail mail cards to those who are doing the card exchange, should either be there or be on their way! We are thrilled to be part of such a loving and kind community of fellow pet lovers. Thank you for your continuing friendship throughout the year and for sticking with us through thick and thin!

Speaking of helping us through exacting times, we wanted to show you the angel wings that we put on our Christmas tree this year. Each set of wings (there are six all told) represents a fur kid who is no longer with us physically but who continues to live in our hearts. The cottage angels are : Masala , Allegra , Lewis , Tulip, Leo and Isadora. This year, sweet , Isadora's tiny, new angel wings flutter, flitter, quiver and hover over us that much more poignantly as we are reminded of her absence in our home this Christmas. We know that many of you have in turn lost a member of your family very recently or sometime in 2015 and we wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that we are with you in spirit as you mourn, remember and eventually, let your baby go. May they each rest in peace and may you in turn find peace. May they find our newest Angel Isadora and together may they all dance the dance of the free.

* A big thank you to Ann for making our Christmas cards, our Christmas header and for creating our Christmas Angels Tree badge as a gift to us this Christmas. It helped us move out of our sadness long enough to find the spirit of Christmas again. You are a kind and thoughtful friend Ann whom we very much value. *

Have a Terrific Tuesday.
See you soon.

Four more sleeps with Levon.

Levon, " Uh, oh. I just realized there are only four more sleeps until Christmas!"

Levon, " I had better start my Christmas shopping!! Daddyman hasn't started his Christmas shopping either! LP claims he is a pro at crastinating when it comes to shopping or something like that!"

Levon, " I shouldn't be too worried for myself then , since  I do still have a few days to play with before I really have no option but to get shopping. Until then, I believe I will take a nice, long, winter nap! "

Have a Marvelous Monday.
We hope you are finished your Christmas shopping and that all your ducks are lined up for the big day.
Our ducks are wandering all over the place but we hope to line them up soon and just in time for Christmas!
See you soon.

Sunday Selfies with Malou.

Malou is joining our dear friends at , The cat on my head , for their always fun and special Sunday Selfies.

Malou, " I was sitting on one of the four rocking chairs in the cottage for my selfie this week , when it suddenly occurred to me that I should spruce my selfie up a bit for you since Christmas is exactly five sleeps away! That means that by this time next week, Christmas will be over and an entire year away!"

Malou , " I decided to turn my selfie into a Christmas/Holiday card for you. I hope you like it! For those of you who visit us on Sunday exclusively, we wanted to wish you a very merry and magical Christmas day. May Kris Kringle fill your stocking with delectable treats and may your home be filled with laughter, joy and good will!"

Don't forget to HOP! It's a wonderful way to visit old and new friends alike.

Faster than the speed of light with Levon.

Levon, " As you can see I am eyeing something rather intently! As a matter of fact , I have my paw on it!"

Levon, " Can you see the camera strap in your far right corner? I actually caught it since my paw was yet again , faster than the speed of light!"

Levon, " Now that I have thoroughly deaded it, I will attempt to ingest it like a long, delectable, slurpy , spaghetti noodle. I must be quick before LP fishes it/wrenches it , out of my mouth! Bon appetit! "

Have a Fabulous Friday!
See you Sunday for Sunday Selfies.

Assessing with Duffy.

Duffy, " The front room is finally newly painted and all the furniture and human paraphernalia have been put back in their allotted places."

Duffy, "May I speak for the cats and for myself when I say. . . thank COD!"

Duffy, " We all appreciate an orderly home."

Duffy,, " Except when it isn't orderly , naturally , then , we appreciate a disorderly home ! For example , right at this very moment, there are stacks of boxes and Christmas decorations everywhere. May I  once again speak for the cats? They are literally in heaven as they prance from one empty box to another!  I am also in heaven. I am anticipating the impending arrival of old Saint Nick and the bag of goodies he is bound to have with which to fill my stocking. I hope he thinks I have been nice . . . I did commit a few naughty , um , accidental indiscretions over the past year but hopefully Santa was too busy to notice!"

Have a Marvelous Monday!

Sunday Selfies : Reindeer in Training.

We are joining our good friends at , The cat on my head, for their always fun Sunday Selfies. This week we submitted a photo of three of the critters as , Reindeer in Training. It was part of our Friday post but for those of you who didn't get a chance to read that post, we thought you would get a kick out of seeing our cottage reindeer.

More shenanigans or : Reindeer in Training.

Malou, " Well. . . you knew and we knew, there were bound to be more Christmas shenanigans and here they are. All in good fun and in the spirit of Christmas is what LP claims!"

Malou, " We are going to be , Reindeer in Training, LP whispers in our ears as she bundles us up in little jackets and plunks antlers on our heads. What in thunderation. . . did she just say REINDEER?!! Where does she come up with these ideas?! "

Duffy, " I liked the idea! I had a pretty good handle on the antlers but the cats found them remarkably challenging!"

Esme , " Reindeer in Training need a handler. I volunteered to be their handler (thereby getting out of wearing the absurd yet comical outfits). As you may imagine, Levon had trouble getting his antlers up but under the guidance of my calm and expert handling, he eventually got the gist of it, as did Mitalee. I also had Duffy and Malou practicing as head deer pullers for Santa's sleigh, in case one of his helpers can't  assist him on Christmas Eve. In due course, I was even able to get a group photograph of three of the Reindeer in Training ; Duffy, Mitalee and Levon.  Unfortunately , by that point in their training , Malou had had enough. She proved to be the most reluctant and least malleable , Reindeer in Training. "

Levon, before mastering his antler attire.

Levon , incredulously mastering the art of wearing antlers.

Mitalee, born to be a Reindeer in Training!

Duffy and Malou waiting for a call from Santa.

Three successful Reindeer in Training: Duffy, Mitalee and Levon!

Esme , "I know, I wholeheartedly agree! I did an exemplary job of training those critters, if I do say so myself! I  believe they might pass as genuine and real reindeer were they to find themselves in a large reindeer herd in the near future. It took some work on my part but it was all worth it in the end. I can almost hear Santa calling out to them, "More rapid than eagles his coursers they came....on Duffy and Malou and . . . ! HO! HO! HO! "

Have a Fabulous Friday!
See you Sunday for Sunday Selfies.
