Let the Games Begin!

Levon, " Oh Boy! It looks as though Easter has arrived at the cottage. The decorations that is!"

Levon, " Do you remember the Easter tree last year? With all the darling kitty toys dangling from the branches?! Well, it's up again !!"

Levon, " It's all so incredibly festive and appealing! I think I will take a power nap first. Once I wake up. . . . let the games begin!"

Have a Terrific Tuesday!
See you soon.

Chameleon Malou.

Malou , " Can you spot me?"

Malou , " I am a chameleon. I am blending in extremely well!"

Malou, "That's probably a good thing since I am lying in Esme's beloved bassinet."

Malou , "And she doesn't like sharing! "

Have a Marvelous Monday.
See you soon.

Sunday Selfies : The Boys in the cottage.

We are joining our good furiends at The cat on my head for their funtabulous Sunday Selfies. This week, the "boys" in the cottage volunteered their efforts. Here are a few previously unknown facts about these two.

First, Levon and Duffy are good friends! They will bump into each other to confirm they are part of the "brotherhood" and consequently see the world in the same way. . . that is, they are in charge (at least in their minds they are!) and in control of the territory and efurryone in it. Two, Levon is bigger than Duffy by three pounds. Duffy weighs eight pounds. Three, both of these "macho"  guys who walk with a swagger are a Mama's Boy. They follow LP around like lovesick teenagers.

Don't forget to HOP! It's a wonderful way to visit old and new friends alike.

Have a Sunny Sunday!
See you tomorrow.

Levon the Nutter.

Levon, " I am sitting in the latest box brought home by Daddyman."

Levon, " It is just the right size for a cool cat like me!"

Levon, " And I was enjoying it until LP came along and started chortling! She keeps calling me a nutter and then giggles. How rude!"

Levon, " Oh well. I'll let her have her laugh if she must! Even though I am firmly beginning to suspect she is the real nutter in this picture!"

Have a Fabulous Friday!
See you Sunday for Sunday Selfies.

Efurryone has one and we are no exception!

Isadora, " It happens to efurryone at the cottage. The pawparazzi shows up and if that isn't enough effrontery after numerous click, click, clickings, the photo is deemed unusable!"

Isadora, " I will set the stage. The subject, in this case, me, is rudely awakened with promises of treats."

Isadora, "Then, when the subject is in full co-operation mode, the photobomber as if on cue , shows up! Efurryone has one in their household and we are no exception. Our photobomber is named Malou and Malou's predictable persistence renders many photos expendable ! Look at her behind me! Sooo embarrassing!!"

Isapdra, " Malou, the dogged (heehee... doggie humour) culprit, simply cannot help herself! She will even try to mirror our poses! Behind me again. And again....embarrassing!!"

Isadora, " The silver lining in this cloud (and there is always a silver lining if the correct incentive is being presented) is that we get a lot of retakes in an effort to get that "just right" photo sans photobomber. That translates to more treats for me! So I guess I really shouldn't complain. Malou? Malou! Carry on! Carry on!"

Have a great day.
See you soon.

A few things about Mitalee HoneyBee.

Mitalee , " I thought I would share a few things about myself with you today. I'll start with my full name as was given to me by LP. It is , Mitalee HoneyBee. My name originally spelt Mithali, means friend/friendship in Sanskrit but LP changed the spelling to make it easier to pronounce.  My name is pronounced, Mee ta lee. I am the second oldest critter in the cottage after Isadora. I am eleven years old. I weigh eight pounds."

Mitalee, " I am a cat who was rescued from a hoarding situation. I was in very bad shape when LP and Daddyman adopted me. My furs were sparse and looked scraggly and I was thin. I hid under a bureau in the closet for weeks when I first came to stay at the cottage. I didn't trust humans at all but I loved the dogs in the cottage! In fact, that is why I was adopted. LP and Daddyman wanted a cat that got along with dogs and looked high and low for me. They found me and adopted me because I slept with the dogs at my foster home. They weren't sure I would ever trust them but they knew they could provide me with a safe and happy home and brought me to the cottage hoping I would be happy. I am a Selkirk Rex cat. I am a fancy cat but some times fancy cats need help too. It is important not to forget that. If I hadn't been helped, I would have remained in a very sad situation. That was ten years ago and my life is very different now."

Mitalee, "  I can still be shy but I am very loving and friendly with all the animals and with my humans too. In fact, I am a bit of a Daddy's girl. I have Daddyman wrapped around my little paw if I do say so myself ! Heehee. I never hide anymore and I will come and greet you if you come to visit and will let you pet me too. I love to cuddle with Esme and I keep the kittenbabies in line as they can be cheeky at times!"

Mitalee, " I am the Queen of the cottage ; LP says so herself. A few of my pet names are: LeeLee, Bumbles, LeeLeeBee and BumbleBee. LP loves to sing little songs she makes up about me and when she does, I purr very loudly because I remember her doing that a lot when I first came to live with her and was hiding under the bureau in the closet.  Her songs made me curious about her and I would peek out to listen carefully. Eventually I came out from hiding completely just to listen to her songs about me. One day she brought a Da Bird type of toy and after that we played every day and soon became fast friends. Well, I had better stop now before I bore you! I hope you enjoyed learning more about me."

Mitalee, " Here are a few more signs of Spring here in Vancouver , for your enjoyment."

Mitalee, " Fear not! If Spring has yet to arrive in your neck of the woods, she will soon be there. You will need a little more patience and then when you least expect it, Spring will arrive at your doorstep."

Have a Terrific Tuesday.
See you soon.

Heat Drunk with Malou and Levon.

Levon, " Malou and I like to hang out on LP's desk when she is on the computer. We like to stick close to the hand that feeds us! Also, do you see the heater underneath me? It pumps up a lot of heat! And as you well know, heat rises, which means toasty warmness for us as we oversee LP's work."

Levon, " Some mornings, we don't get up from our spot for hours at a time!"

Levon, " We get heat drunk and fall into a deep and peaceful slumber. Is there a better way to spend a morning?! We think not! "

Have a Marvelous Monday!
See you soon.
