Last leg of the trip and Malou.

*Click to biggify pics if you like*

LP, " Once I left Santa Fe and arrived in San Diego, this is what I saw when I landed ; heavy smoke crossing the skies due to wildfires! "

LP, " There were about ten active wildfires in the San Diego county district when I initially arrived , with the largest being dubbed the "Poinsettia". At one point we lost our power."

LP, " In some ways the smoke was beautiful and other worldly but the damage reeked was very real."

LP, " Many people lost their homes and many others were evacuated from their homes. We were lucky and were able to stay at my sister's until the fires were under control."

LP, "After several days , once the fires were under control , the skies cleared almost miraculously as if nothing had been."

LP, " All in all, my trip was quite the adventure!"

Malou, " LP brought this cheerful tablecloth back from San Diego... no doubt because it highlights my velvet furs to advantage. "

Malou, " Did I mention I have been talking up a storm and sticking to LP like there is no tomorrow since her return?"

Malou, " I plan to pose , flirt and become so unforgettable she will never leave me again!"

Have a wonderful day!
See you soon.

  1. You really had a great trip to the southwest U.S.! Those wildfires were awful - we live in the foothills of Northeast Los Angeles, so while we weren't anywhere near the San Diego fires, they were still scary because it could totally happen here too.

  2. We heard the news and saw the pictures on our TV news - it must have been so frightening for everyone and devastating for those whose homes and families were in the path of the wildfires. Our hearts go out to those who were in the path of this devastation.

  3. Malou I m soooo sure your Mom won't leave you again! I love what she bought you!! So glad that many people were able to evacuate from those fires. I know a few people there and thank goodness they were ok!
Sending much love to your Mom!

  4. Wow, you had an awesome trip. Our human says she'd have liked Santa Fe the best, she thinks.

Those fires were scary beyond imaging. We're glad your human and her sister and any other family were all safe.

  5. Good plan of action, Malou! We're glad LP arrived home safely!

  6. Wow, those wildfires are scary!

Malou we totally unnerstand and approve of that plan. Humans should not leave us!!

  7. Yikes, those fires are so scary. We are glad you were safe, and that you made it home safely, LP.

Malou, we like your strategy. We're going to have to try it here!

  8. You are right, Malou. That tablecloth makes you look extra stunning! Great, although scary, trip pics! Glad you are home safely! Purrs...

  9. The smoke looks furry scary !
And it´s sad that many people lost their homes :(
Glad that your sisters home was OK and safe away from the fire !

  10. Yikes, fires are scary. So glad that your sister's home was safe. Malou you are looking very adorable on the new tablecloth, oh yes!

  11. Wow - we are purring for all who lost their homes in the fires. So scary and sad. Glad you all are alright!

And Malou, we don't understand how your mommy could ever leave you! Our mommy has to leave us sometimes too, and we just don't get it. We will try the "posing," "flirting," and "becoming unforgettable" and see how that works!

  12. What a fun trip you had...well, 'cept for those fires. And Malou, you stay close to LP...don't let her leave again...and make sure she gives you lots of treats.

  13. Malou, we hope your plan works; though, our mommy wants you to be kind enough to let your mama attend BlogPaws again next year. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
