Update on Leo.

LP, " Thank you for the well wishes with regards to Leo's operation last Friday. They helped enormously in keeping our panic at bay :) Two large cysts were removed from Leo's back during surgery. They were deep seated and the incisions and stitches are quite severe. The good news is that both cysts were benign. Leo also had a full blood panel done and he shows no signs of kidney disease, thyroid problems or diabetes. At his advanced years, he is now seventeen years of age , this is something worthy of celebration. Leo is presently recovering but is having difficulty with food. He is on clavaseptin to prevent infection and this particular antibiotic seems to be the guitly party for his lack of interest in food. He is also taking tramadol for pain. I will keep you updated on his progress. Right now, we are just happy to have him home with us.

Leo , " I will take it nice and easy until I am fully recovered."

Have a Marvelous Monday!
See you soon.

  5. Excellent news about Leo. It may take a little longer for him to get back to normal at seventeen but it sounds like the surgery went very well and I've no doubt he will be back to normal very soon. At his age, he's an inspiration.

  16. Sending my best snuggles and hugs to Leo. I am very glad this is done now and that the results showed they were benign. That is wonderful. And his over health report is awesome! I wish him the very best.

Do you think the pain meds. are depressing his appetite? We haven’t had as many kitties as you but none of them were ever able to take whole dose of pain med. It was just too much!
