Thursday Thick As Thieves.

LP, " As you know, Malou and Levon are inseparable. Where you find one , you can almost certainly find the other. In the last few weeks , however , we have started to notice they are separating for short naps -although they are usually in the same room no doubt plotting mischief in their dreams. Here are a series of pics that show you they are still thick as thieves ! Not to mention a dynamic, almost impenetrable duo :) "

Malou, " We like to wake up together. Although Levon finds it a bit difficult to get out of bed in the morning on account of the fact that he is a night owl ."

Malou and Levon , " Then we have breakfast together ."

Malou and Levon , " Do a bit of bird watching together ."

Malou , " Smell the flowers ."

Levon , " Eat the flowers ."

Malou and Levon , " And have a kitten nap for hours at a time. Clickity clack goes our daily train . It always stays on track .We are the best of kittens with nary a mischievous bone in our bodies ."

Malou, " Oops. I promised no more kitten fibs so I have to confess. Sometimes our daily train DOES slightly, vaguely , kind of derail . . ."

Malou, " You see we like our train to run fast and sometimes we are running sooo fast that we bump into things and knock them down . . . like this framed photograph as an example . . ."

Malou, " And that lamp which should actually be on the glass table top . . ."

Malou, " But the train only derails maybe once or twice a day at most . . . is all . . ."

Levon , " Otherwise, you wouldn't even know we lived here we are sooo quiet and good !! Good , obedient, well-behaved little kittens following their good as gold daily routine. Clickity clack down the track . And THAT'S the truth !  Honest to goodness ."

Have a great day!
See you soon.

The Last of The Snow .

LP, " For those of you who have been visiting regularly , it is no secret that Daddyman and I love birds. We love to go bird watching and when we first met, this activity often filled our dance card . Lately we have been watching the Snowy Owls and the Snow Geese. Both these species of birds are now beginning to leave the Vancouver area .The Snow Geese are on their way back to the Arctic and Siberia and the Snowy Owls are on their way back to the Arctic. Here are a few pics of both these glorious birds. Some of the images are small but if you use your imagination (and also click on the image itself) you can see how beautiful these birds appear in a natural setting. "

LP , " Can you spot two Snowy Owls on the logs ? "

Issa , " Duffy and I often birdwatch with the hoomans. We are as quiet as mice so as not to disturb the  birds."

Issa , " It's a brilliantly sunny day. A perfect day to see the Snow Geese ."

Duffy , " We can hear them too. Honk! Honk! Honk! "

Issa ,  " We can see them in the distance as well ."

Issa and Duffy , " Wow ! "

Issa , " There they go ! "

Issa and Duffy ,  " Safe journey. "

Have a terrific Tuesday!

Flashback Friday with Levon .

LP, " If you have been visiting  since Lewis left us and since the arrival of the kitten babies , you already know that we were supposed to only get one kitten , Malou. If you don't know the story,  you can read it in my archives , under the post " Lewis ' Kin ". When Malou wasn't thriving, my friend Tracy asked me to choose another kitten as she felt Malou wouldn't live much longer and she still wanted to give us the gift of a kitten. Tracy would send me pics of the kittens early on and I would barely look at Levon. He simply didn't seem like a possible choice from the very beginning since he reminded me so much of Lewis . It was almost painful to look at him. Then one day she sent me the pic I will show you below. I don't know why exactly, or what changed in me but when I saw this photo of Levon , I had a very strong feeling that were it possible to translate that feeling into words , the feeling would have conveyed , " You belong with me" . Suddenly Levon wasn't a black and white cat that sadly reminded me of Lewis in all his familiarity anymore but  rather , he was a unique little individual in need of a home. And that home had to be with us."

LP , " In the beginning there were three little kittens ..."

LP, " One of which was a little black and white boy that LP willed to stay away from her ..."

LP, " Not even this adorable picture of the little black and white kitten baby kissing his littermate could break her resolve..."

LP, " Nor did this adorable photo of a food smeared face soften a heart hardened against little black and white kittens...

LP , " But when LP saw this photo she didn't have a chance or any resolve left whatsoever. She saw fireworks, stars, flowers, open fields, sunshine and lollipops which of course meant she had to bring the little black and white kitten home without a moment's hesitation. And she has never since regretted her decision. Not even for a second !"

Have a Fabulous Friday!
See you Monday.

It's Beginning to Look Alot Like Spring !

LP, " We have been having so much rain lately that it has made us all feel a bit stir crazy! But yesterday the sun came out in full glory ! And strangely ,  as is always the case, we suddenly forgot all those grey days and walked with lighter hearts and steps. Here are a few pics I took as the sun embraced my day. These pics were all taken around our home and convinced us it is beginning to look alot like Spring in Vancouver . Hooray ! "

Levon , " Not to mention houseplants in bloom. These are pretty but they don't smell all that much ."

Malou , " I guard the potted flowers for LP on account that Levon can't be trusted. He'd eat them. Srsly. "

Have a great day one and all !
See you soon.
