Cooper says thank you for being concerned about him! Since heartworms are spread by mosquitoes, they're a lot more common in Texas than Vancouver!
LBR tests all dogs that come to us for heartworms. It's a pretty simple test, and most vets do it every year with your annual checkup. If you don't find out through a test, the common signs of heartworms are fatigue and panting, because the wormies are building up in the heart and making it work too hard to keep beating.
