Let It Bloom ! !

LP, " Well after weeks of rain and an unusually chilly June and first part of July , we have the HOTS!! So much so that I didn't want to bring the foster cats  Leo and Tulip  into the garden to give you a garden tour. They seemed far better off in their comfortable and cool AC quarters! But here for your viewing pleasure are a few photos I took of some of the blooms in our garden . It is now beginning to look alot like summer here in Vancouver! :) "

LP , " Our magnolia tree was very late to bloom this year but here finally , is its' first flower ."

LP , " These flowers and the ones below it are originally from California and they love heat so the HOTS are the perfect climate for them! "

LP , " These geraniums were doing poorly with the rain but have now perked up nicely! "

LP , " Lovely snapdragons under cover. When I was little we would pop their heads off and put them between our thumb and finger and make puppets out of them. Did anyone else do that ?"

LP, " A teacup rose a neighbour gave us which I had completely forgotten about shows off a delicate bloom."

LP , " Daisies! Bright , fresh and easy to care for."

LP, " Chocolate cosmos and baby daisies. The cosmos smell delicious! "

LP, " A mixture of annuals I planted in an old milk bottle carrier."

LP , " These are more annuals I planted at the base of my rhododendron tree. My rhododendron tree isn't blooming for some reason . . . maybe all the rain was too much for it! Anyone have any ideas? "

LP , " We hope you enjoyed our garden tour. Hopefully it will be slightly cooler next week when Tulip and Leo will once again invite you to join them on a tour of our garden ."

Have a great day!
See you soon.

Your blooms are gorgeous. Summer obviously was worth the wait. :-)

Ours plants are getting a bit crispy. Actually, the hanging baskets out front are A LOT crispy, probably won't even make it to August--and that's with water every day.

I used to play with snapdragons like that too! chomp chomp chomp MOL! I used to walk fast past them too, just in case they would chomp without fingers making them do it! Scary flowers!

We enjoyed your beautiful flowers! Our cool weather stuff is either dying or bolting from all the hots; warmer stuuf is just getting started. Rhodys sometimes take a year off - no one seems to know why. Purrs.

Yes as youngsters we always made the snap dragons talk too :-) I did it once for Robert not long ago and was stunned he had never see it before...maybe it's a girl thing :-)
