The path by the sea.

Duffy, " We took advantage of another sunny day today and went for a walk on the sea wall.The sea wall is in Stanley Park near the city centre of Vancouver."

Duffy, " The sea wall path wraps around the perimetre of Stanley Park right by the ocean. You can see the path in the far right hand corner. The tide was out when we went for our walk but when the tide is in and the waves are crashing against the sea wall , it is crazy beautiful." 

Issa , " Stanley Park is a huge park with many play areas for children. LP's favourite area is a large swimming pool that is directly above the ocean."

Issa , " It's difficult to get a good picture because it is a large pool but can you see the water slide right next to the curve of the sea wall path? "

Issa , " When you are swimming in the pool , you see the ocean in front of you and large trees like the ones in the photo , behind you. Stanley Park has miles of large trees! "

Issa, " Some trees are changing colours but it will be a few weeks yet before Autumn colours are out in their full glory!"

Issa , " The sun is in my eyes but I can still see...."

Issa and Duffy , "...so much beauty all around us."

Thursday in the garden.

Leo, " Oh there it is. I never noticed it before."

Leo, "It's a garden urn for Masala, Allegra and Lewis. Don't worry. It doesn't have their bodies in it or anything scary like that. Here. See for your self ."

Leo, " The red flower is for Masala. The periwinkle blue flower is for Allegra.And the orange flowers are for Lewis. LP says it makes her happy to have the flower urn in her garden."

Leo, " We still have flowers blooming in our garden. It's been raining a lot but today the sun is out so I can enjoy the flowers."

Leo, " This plant has done amazingly well. LP planted it in the ground in its' original container to ensure it didn't get too much water from the surrounding soil. This also makes it easy to dig up and transfer to a warmer area before winter arrives."

Leo, " LP can't remember the name of these flowers because she says she has the memory of a jellyfish. Do jellyfish have a memory? Anyhoo... These flowers have been blooming since June and they are still blooming!

Leo, " Well that's the tour for this week. To tell you the truth , I don't know how many more tours there will be in the near future. LP thinks my days in the garden may be numbered now that the rainy season has begun. This information has left me feeling a bit flabbergasted... as can be seen by my facial expression."

Harvest Fair.

Issa , " Hey Duffy. Are you awake ?"

Duffy , " Yup. I was just thinking about everything we saw today at the Harvest Fair ."

Duffy , " And there was that band that sang only Abba songs too , remember? They were pawsome! I danced my little heart out to, Mama Mia...here I go again...my, my...how can I not lick you..."

Duffy , " I thought it was v.cool that the girl with the red butterfly wings knew all the words to all the Abba songs! "

Duffy , " But this little boy didn't seem to be a fan of their music at all ! "

Duffy, " There were animal rescue groups there too asking for donations and selling kitty blankets and toys. Of course LP had to buy a blanket and calendar and toys."

Duffy , " But she wouldn't take these two adoptable kittens home. She said her house was full enough with all of us poopers , she didn't need two more poopers. Srsly. How rude!!"

Issa , " Duff? Why did you stop? (He's managed to almost put me to sleep.My eyelids are getting really heavy...I just need one more story...)."

Duffy , " Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz"



P.S. The Harvest Fair is a yearly event in our neighbourhood to promote business and a sense of community to those of us who live in the area. It's always fun and this year was no exception! Hope you enjoyed a little glimpse into part of it.
