Friday in a city garden.

LP, " We have a park in Vancouver that is known to look especially pretty and colourful in Autumn. I've taken some pictures of it for your enjoyment but as you can see, the trees have yet to truly change colour. Some are slowly changing colour but all should look far more autumnal in a few weeks."

LP, " You can see some of the city at the height of this park. Can you also see the faint outline of mountains in the background? "

LP, " Were you to part the trees from above like a friendly , visiting giant , you would see...

LP, " ... this part of the garden below with paths to wander amidst flowers and trees."

LP, " With splashes of colour against green leaves...

LP, "...and multiplying colour taunting us with what greater beauty is yet to come."

LP, " A patch of red flowers under a tree still thrives despite summer's end."

LP, " Colour multiplying before our eyes."

LP, " Then I saw colour tucked shyly away in a corner of this large ,varied , meandering garden. It was as if Nature and Humankind had come together to create a common, worthwhile and glorious goal. I almost missed it ."

Have a peaceful weekend.
See you Monday.

  1. Lovely city garden! Often, in the pics that dad takes and sends me, I can see Mt Baker across in the US. (He's in Delta and they go across to the States quite often, just to walk, have lunch, etc.)

We all hope you have a great weekend!

  2. You have a lovely city garden there - it is so large and we imagine you can walk for miles and miles. Mum loves to see the autumn colours but hates the winter darkness,
